Dear Families,

After 22 wonderfully fulfilling years, I am excited to share an update on a meaningful new chapter in my professional journey. I have made the decision to step down as the owner of First Smile Pediatric Dentistry – a thoughtful choice that feels right for me at this stage of my life. While I will no longer serve in that capacity, I will remain on staff and continue to care for your children with the same enthusiasm and commitment.

With this transition, I look forward to pursuing my lifelong passion for teaching, volunteering and exploring other inspirations. It has truly been my honor and privilege to be a part of your family’s journey. Thank you for your trust, loyalty and confidence in our office. I am deeply grateful for the relationships we have built and the moments we have shared. Watching so many of our patients grow and thrive through the years has been one of my greatest joys. I look forward to celebrating future milestones with you at the clinic for many years to come.

I am delighted to announce that Dr. Michelle Tsao will assume ownership of First Smile Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Tsao is a Board-Certified pediatric dentist and received her dental degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed a general practice residency at the University of Southern California, followed by a three-year pediatric dental residency at UCSF, where she also earned her Master’s in Craniofacial Sciences with a focus on pediatric development and oral-systemic health. Many of you have already had the pleasure of meeting her over the past three years and experienced her compassionate, conservative, and evidence- based care firsthand. She is exceptional in her clinical skills, outstanding in her behavioral management, and consistently thoughtful and caring. Dr. Tsao embodies the highest standard and character. We share a commitment to excellence and I am confident that she will inspire you as much as she has me.
